CA Vijesh Bhola bags Silver Medal in Double Trap shooting at RRS Memorial Cup 2026
Ferozepur, August 2, 2026: Vijesh Bhola, a Chartered Accountant by profession, has achieved remarkable success by winning a silver medal in the Senior Category Double Trap competition at the Raja Randhir Singh Memorial Cup 2026, held in Patiala from July 22 to 31. T
he championship featured participation from shooters across the country, including representatives from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Kerala. Various disciplines were competed in, including Trap, Double Trap, and Skeet, making it a highly competitive national-level shooting event.
For Bhola, this achievement is the culmination of a childhood passion for marksmanship, supported by regular practice and dedication. Interestingly, he came from a family with no prior involvement in shooting. His interest in the sport was ignited by friends Raja Sodhi and Parvinder Sodhi, who introduced him to the basics of shooting and encouraged him to take it seriously.
Bhola continued his training at the Boparai Rifle Range, managed by the District Rifle Association, located in the village of Khane Ke Ahel in Ferozepur. With guidance from range officials and access to subsidised ammunition, he maintained a consistent practice schedule. “Results come from regular practice. We never stopped practising, and gradually the results began to show,” Bhola stated.
When asked about the secret behind his performance, Bhola emphasised the importance of enjoying one’s pursuits and dedicating oneself fully to them. “Treat the game as a game and enjoy it. When you approach something with enjoyment and complete dedication, the results will definitely follow,” he said. He also noted that this principle applies to every profession and aspect of life. People from various professional backgrounds participate in shooting, which offers a unique opportunity to pursue one's passion alongside their professional commitments.
