Chandigarh, October 16, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reached Delhi to proceed with his proposed visit to France after the green signal given by the High Court of Punjab and Haryana.“Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accompanied by a team of senior officers, is scheduled to fly from Delhi to France in the early hours of October 17, 2026 to attend SIAL Paris 2026 (an international food trade and innovation exhibition held at Paris Nord Villepinte).”
The Centre had earlier refused permission for Mann’s proposed France visit, prompting the Punjab government to approach the High Court for relief.
After the High Court delivered its decision around noon on Friday, the Chief Minister left for Delhi later in the evening. Information received subsequently indicated that Mann had reached the national capital to proceed with his France visit.
Meanwhile, the written copy of the order pronounced by the single judge of the High Court had reportedly not been uploaded on the court’s website by 10 pm, and it was being eagerly awaited.
