Saptasindhu Youth Conclave 2025 Sparks Innovation and Entrepreneurship Among Punjab's Youth

The Saptasindhu Forum, in partnership with the Nivedita Trust, hosted the Saptasindhu Youth Conclave 2025, gathering over 160 delegates from Punjab alongside thought leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators. The event focused on themes of innovation, entrepreneurship, heritage, and leadership to inspire and empower the younger generation.
Founder of the Saptasindhu Forum, Varinder Garg, kicked off the conclave by sharing its vision of reconnecting youth with their cultural roots while preparing them for global opportunities. The program began with a welcome address by Kalyani Singh, followed by guest introductions from Pavitra Ranawat and Monika Jindal.
Chief Guest Shaurya Doval, economist, strategist, and Director of the India Foundation, delivered insights on global, national, and state economies, encouraging youth to adopt emerging technologies and pursue innovation for a self-reliant future.
Keynote Speaker Pradeep Joshi, a noted thinker and social activist, commended the experimental drive of Punjabi youth but stressed the importance of consistency, creativity, and commitment for lasting prosperity.
Guests of Honour included Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi (IAS Retd.), Maj. Gen. Harpal Singh (Retd.), Lt. Gen. J.S. Nanda, and Tania Sodhi, Member of Legislative Assembly from Moncton, Canada. Maj. Gen. Harpal Singh inspired attendees to embrace entrepreneurship, while Kalsi highlighted the 10,000-year legacy of the Saptasindhu Civilization and its relevance to modern Punjab. Lt. Gen. Nanda celebrated young entrepreneurial successes, and Sodhi attributed her achievements to her cultural heritage.
A key session featured 12 successful entrepreneurs from Punjab and the tricity area—Mrinal Tayal, Karan Shandilya, Piyush Bansal, Sakshi Verma, Harpreet Singh, Naina Bhandari, Bantoo Singh, Rana Ranjit Singh Dhaliwal, Anubhav Jain, Rajni Sharma, Harpreet Singh, and Muskan Inder Kaur—who shared their experiences, challenges, and success strategies.
The event honored distinguished individuals with the Saptasindhu Awards: Deepak Thakur (Captain, Indian Hockey Team), Umang Jindal, Manu Gupta, Tejinder Garg, Adv. Gagan Pradeep Singh Ball, Puneet Bhandari, Adv. Mohit Bhardwaj & Ekamjot Singh, and Gurmeet Singh Nofal & Yadvinder Singh.
The conclave wrapped up with a call for more such platforms to nurture future leaders, with Vivek Thapar delivering the vote of thanks.
