Mega PTM Witnesses Enthusiastic Participation Across 224 Upper Primary Schools in Ferozepur District
Ferozepur, May 30, 2026: A strong sense of enthusiasm and community participation was witnessed during the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) organized across 224 Upper Primary Schools in Ferozepur district under the directions of the Punjab Government, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, and the School Education Department, Punjab.
During the Mega PTM, District Education Officer (Secondary Education), Ferozepur, Ms. Munila Arora, visited Government Senior Secondary School Noorpur Sethan, Government Senior Secondary School Rukna Begu, and Government Middle School Patel Nagar. Meanwhile, Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary Education), Dr. Satinder Singh, a National Awardee, inspected Government Adarsh Model Senior Secondary School Bukkan Khan and Government High School Jhok Harihar.
The education officials reviewed academic activities, student attendance, school environment, and arrangements made for the Mega PTM. They also interacted with parents and discussed students’ academic performance, discipline, attendance, and overall development. Parents appreciated the efforts being made by schools to improve the quality of education and student outcomes.
Speaking on the occasion, DEO Munila Arora said that the primary objective of the Mega PTM is to strengthen collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents so that students can receive better academic guidance and holistic development. She emphasized that active parental involvement plays a crucial role in improving students’ performance and personal growth.
Deputy DEO Dr. Satinder Singh stated that the Punjab Government is continuously making efforts to raise educational standards in government schools. He said that programmes like the Mega PTM help connect parents with schools and create greater awareness about their children's education. He also advised teachers to closely monitor each student’s learning progress and maintain regular communication with parents.
School heads, teachers, and parents welcomed the visiting officials. An encouraging and positive atmosphere prevailed across all schools during the Mega PTM, with parents assuring full cooperation in enhancing their children’s education.
On the occasion, students with outstanding achievements and teachers who received special commendation certificates from the department for their contribution towards making Punjab a leading state in education were honoured. Among those present were Principal Harfool Singh, Dinesh Chauhan, Arshdeep Singh, Ashbir Singh, Harvinder Singh, Madam Sangeeta, Hirde Nand, Sumit Kumar, Poonam Rani, Kavita Kamboj, and others.
