CGC University Mohali begins new academic year with Sri Akhand Path Sahib ceremony

Mohali (Punjab), July 12, 2026: CGC University Mohali marked the beginning of the new academic year with the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, invoking blessings for the university's continued growth and the success of its students.
The spiritual ceremony was attended by the university's management, faculty members, staff, students, and distinguished guests in a devotional atmosphere.
On the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Founder Chancellor of CGC University Mohali and recipient of the International Father of Education Award, said every meaningful journey begins with faith and gratitude.

"As we embark on a new academic session, we seek divine blessings to guide us with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. At CGC University Mohali, we believe education is not merely about imparting knowledge but also about building character, nurturing a spirit of service, and preparing responsible citizens," he said.
Congratulating students and faculty on the commencement of the new session, Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director of the university, said the academic year symbolises new opportunities and aspirations.
"Beginning this journey with the sacred recitation of Sri Akhand Path Sahib reflects our belief that spiritual values and education go hand in hand. We hope this year inspires our students to pursue excellence, lead with humility and emerge as responsible global citizens," he said.
The ceremony concluded with the Guru Ka Langar, symbolising selfless service, equality and community harmony.
According to the university, the event reinforced its commitment to promoting academic excellence while upholding strong moral and spiritual values as students begin the new academic session.
