New Delhi, August 16, 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer keys for 84 subjects of the UGC-NET June 2026 examination, giving candidates an opportunity to review their responses and raise objections.
The challenge window is now open and will remain available until August 18, 2026. Candidates can submit challenges online through the official UGC-NET portal.
According to the NTA, candidates will have to pay a processing fee of ₹200 for each question challenged. Every objection must be supported by relevant documentary evidence. The agency clarified that challenges submitted through any mode other than the prescribed online process will not be considered.
The deadline for payment of the processing fee is also August 18.
Separate notice for three subjects
The NTA said a committee has been constituted to examine complaints related to possible errors in the question papers of the remaining three subjects — English, Commerce and Sociology.
Based on the committee’s recommendations, the agency said a separate public notice for these three subjects will be issued later on Sunday.
Candidates have been advised to check only the information and updates issued through the NTA’s official website and its verified social media accounts.
The provisional answer key challenge process is an opportunity for candidates to point out discrepancies before the final answer keys are prepared.
