Short film 'Untruth' set to expose social evils and hypocrisy
Ferozepur, January 20, 2026: The upcoming short film titled Untruth aims to pull back the curtain on deep-seated social evils and unmask individuals whose actions have become a stain on modern society.
Director Jeevan Sharma (widely known as Dev D), representing Samavna Dindiya, shared that his creative focus has always remained on socially relevant subjects that provoke thought. The screenplay for Untruth has been penned by M Verma, with Tanish Bansal serving as the cinematographer. The project is being produced under the banner of Khahira Productions.
Providing a glimpse into the plot, Sharma revealed that the story follows a man recently released from prison. Upon his return to society, he abducts three individuals—an act that serves as a catalyst for a series of shocking revelations. As the narrative unfolds, it strips away the masks of those living double lives, exposing the "two-faced" reality of people who appear respectable on the surface.
Filming is scheduled to commence shortly in and around Ferozepur. The cast will feature actor Bob Khaira in a leading role, alongside several fresh faces who are being given a platform to debut their talent.
Director Jeevan Sharma expressed high ambitions for the project, noting that Untruth is being crafted specifically for the national film festival circuit, where it is expected to reach a wide audience of cinema enthusiasts and critics alike.
