Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Viraj S. Tidke today directed the Revenue Officers of the district to resolve all pending partitions of land and Khasra Girdwari cases that have been outstanding for over a year within the next two months.
During a review of the progress made by the revenue officers of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, in the presence of Sub Divisional Magistrates and District Revenue Officers, he emphasized the need to launch a special campaign to assist citizens visiting their offices regarding these cases.
He insisted that this campaign should be time-bound, prioritizing cases that have been pending for more than a year.
ADC Tidke also directed the revenue officers to reduce the backlog of mutation cases in the coming days.
He cautioned that delay in these mutation cases, particularly those concerning the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for acquired lands, could lead to complications in the future by adding that Maintaining a clean revenue record for affected landowners is essential for their future needs.
While reviewing the recoveries made by the revenue officers, he stressed the importance of increasing and expediting revenue and other recoveries. Officers were instructed to personally follow up on court cases to prevent any adverse remarks from the honorable courts.
Furthermore, while reviewing the upcoming developments in the Zirakpur and Majri Sub Tehsils and the modernization of the Sub Registrar office in SAS Nagar Mohali, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the SDMs and relevant revenue officers to maintain communication with the authorities to ensure timely approvals.
The meeting was attended by SDM Mohali Damandeep Kaur, SDM Derabassi Amit Gupta, District Revenue Officer Dr. Amandeep Chawla, Tehsildar Birkaran Singh Dhillon, Sub Registrars Navpreet Singh Shergill and Jaspreet Singh, as well as Naib Tehsildars from the district.
