ADC discusses 8 New Aam Aadmi Clinics in Ferozepur; reviews health schemes, HPV vaccination drive
Ferozepur, March 3, 2026: To review preparations for the upcoming HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination campaign, a meeting of District Task Force (DTF) was held chaired by ADC(Development) Krishana Pal Rajpur. A separate meeting of the District Health Society was also held to assess the progress of various health schemes and deliberate on the establishment of 8 new Aam Aadmi Clinics in the district.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the administration of the HPV vaccine to 14-year-old girls to prevent cervical cancer. The vaccination campaign will run for three months (90 days) and will be conducted only at designated government health institutions equipped with cold chain points, internet facilities and trained staff. Beneficiaries will be kept under observation for 30 minutes after vaccination as per protocol.
ADC also reviewed the progress of other ongoing health programmes and directed officials to intensify micro-planning and awareness activities to ensure timely and effective implementation of the vaccination drive.
Emphasising inter-departmental coordination, he instructed officials from the Education, Women and Child Development and Panchayati Raj departments to work in close collaboration to maximise coverage. He also stressed the need for widespread public awareness to ensure protection against cervical cancer in the future.
Among those present at the meeting were Civil Surgeon Dr Rajiv Parashar, District Education Officer (Secondary) Munila Arora, District Immunisation Officer Dr Meenakshi Dhingra, District Mass Media Officer Sanjeev Sharma and other officials from concerned departments.
