CM’s Yogshala promoting healthy lifestyle; Over 13K people benefit from 323 Free Yoga Classes
Ferozepur, February 20, 2026: The Punjab Government’s flagship wellness initiative, CM’s Yogshala, is proving highly effective in encouraging a healthy lifestyle among residents of the district by promoting physical and mental well-being.
Launched across cities in October 2023, the project has gained remarkable traction in Ferozepur district, where more than 13,000 people are regularly benefiting from 323 free yoga classes being conducted daily.
Sharing details, District Coordinator (CM’s Yogshala) Amanpreet Kaur said the initiative is making a significant contribution toward building a “Healthy Punjab.” She informed that 94 expert yoga trainers have been appointed by the state government in Ferozepur district. These trainers conduct morning and evening yoga sessions across tehsils, blocks, villages, and urban localities, making yoga accessible to all sections of society.
She added that yoga classes are being held regularly in Ferozepur, Guruharsahai, Zira, and Makhu, both in cities and villages. All classes are completely free of cost and are conducted by trained yoga professionals appointed by the Punjab Government.
Apart from yoga practice, participants are also educated about the benefits of yoga, healthy living, and balanced diet. People of all age groups—including children, youth, women, and senior citizens—can join these classes.
Residents wishing to start a yoga class in their street or locality can form a group of 25 members and give a missed call at 76694-00500 or contact 78888-40115. Online registration is also available at the official portal of CM’s Yogshala.
