Chandigarh: 'Hindi Diwas Samaroh' organized at Government College of Education

Chandigarh, September 14, 2024: A poetry recitation competition in Hindi language was organized under the Hindi Day celebrations at the Government Education College, Chandigarh. The event was presided over by the Principal of the college, Dr. (Mrs.) Sapna Nanda.
The program started with Swasti Vachan and Saraswati Vandana. After that, Dr. Ajay Kumar Srivastava, coordinator of the program and college dean, welcomed everyone and highlighted the importance of Hindi language.
In the competition a total of 16 students of B.Ed. ,M.Ed. Participated and made the program beautiful with their melodious and emotional recitation by reciting poems on various subjects in Hindi language.
The result of the competition was announced by the jury members of the program Dr. Sheojee Singh, Dr. Vandana Aggarwal and Dr. Raghubir Shastri (Alumnus). Winners of the competition were-First - Anamika (roll number 254.B.Ed. student); Second – Nancy Sharma (Roll No. 20 B.Ed. student) and Priyanshu Tiwari (Roll No. 225 B.Ed. student); Third - Vaishno (Roll No. 241, B.Ed. student) and Kinshuk (Roll. No. 242, B.Ed. student) got consolation prize for his performance.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ravinder Kumar presented a beautiful song on the occasion and mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice. Dr. Raghubir Shastri, Alumnus of the college also shared his views and poetry recitation in Hindi.
The principal explained the practical utility of Hindi language to the students through simple examples. Principal of the college and chairperson of the program, Dr. (Mrs.) Sapna Nanda wished the college family a happy Hindi Diwas. Everyone was encouraged to work in Hindi. At the end of the program, college student Anshul presented a vote of thanks. The program concluded with the national anthem.
