Dal Khalsa thanks people of Amritsar for complete support to Bandh in the city
Amritsar, June 6, 2024: Dal Khalsa today thanked people of Amritsar for extending cooperation and expressing solidarity with the victims of the 1984 army attack by observing peaceful and complete Bandh in the city.
On the 40th Anniversary, the organization had given the call for Amritsar shutdown to pay tributes to martyrs and protest against the killings of innocents and loot of Sikh reference library.
Taking a cue from the speech of Akal Takhat Jathedar, the Dal Khalsa leader Kanwar Pal Singh said the Indian state continues to unleash the policy of repression on Sikhs by not releasing the Sikh political prisoners, slapping draconian laws on Sikh youth and eliminating Sikh activists on foreign shores.
Party activists led by President Harpal Singh Cheema, working president Paramjit Singh Mand, general secretary Paramjit Singh Tanda, Sarbjit Singh Ghuman, SYP head Gurnam Singh and others participated in the Ardas meeting at Akal Takht.
Commenting on Gaini Raghuvir Singh’s address to quam, they said for the first time Akal Takhat Jathedar has narrated the instances of state atrocities, fake encounters in details and explained the dismal plight of Sikhs in this Hindu-India.
