Govt teacher commits suicide in Haryana

Chandigarh, May 4, 2025 – A shocking incident has emerged from the Nuh district of Haryana, where a government school teacher allegedly died by suicide after consuming a poisonous substance.
According to media reports, the incident occurred on Saturday and has sent shockwaves through the education community.
Police recovered an eight-page suicide note from the scene, in which the deceased teacher made serious allegations against his fellow staff members.Based on the contents of the note, an FIR has been registered against eight teachers at the Sadar Tauru police station.
The deceased, identified as Jaipal (48), was a Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) at a government school in the village of Khori Khurd. He was originally a resident of Mazra village in Rewari district, Haryana.
Nuh police stated that Jaipal had been involved in an ongoing dispute with other staff members over issues related to tree cutting and other administrative matters at the school. The tensions had reportedly persisted for a considerable time.
On Saturday afternoon, Jaipal allegedly consumed a poisonous substance on school premises. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to the effects of the poison during treatment.
Authorities have begun a thorough investigation into the matter, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
