Punjab: Students made to serve snacks, school in-charge suspended

Goindwal Sahib (Punjab), May 4, 2025 – Taking swift and strict action against a serious case of indiscipline, the Punjab Education Department has suspended the in-charge of Government Senior Secondary School, Goindwal Sahib, after reports surfaced that students were made to serve snacks during a school event.
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains condemned the incident in strong terms, calling it a violation of student dignity and basic ethical standards.
“The dignity and respect of our students is non-negotiable. Such misconduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances,” Bains said in an official statement.
