Joint Chief Electoral Officer inspects EVM Warehouse in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, June 25, 2025: As per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, a quarterly inspection of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) Warehouse in Ferozepur was conducted on Wednesday. The warehouse, located in the Housing Board Colony of Firozpur City, was inspected by the Honourable Joint Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab, Sakatar Singh Bal, PCS, along with Additional District Election Officer Damanjit Singh Mann, PCS.
The inspection was conducted in the presence of representatives from recognised political parties, including Sukhdev Singh and Ashok Captain (Bahujan Samaj Party), Harinder Singh, Lovepreet Singh, and Sukhchain Singh (Bharatiya Janata Party).
During the visit, the Joint CEO reviewed the maintenance and storage conditions of the EVMs. He also checked the warehouse logbook and verified entries in the stock register. While interacting with officials, he emphasized the strict adherence to the Election Commission’s protocols regarding the upkeep and security of the voting machines.
Present on the occasion were Tehsildar (Elections) Amandeep Singh Garcha, Assistant EVM Nodal Officer Sakaant Chaudhary, Election Kanungo Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, Election Clerks Himanshu and Jaswant Singh, and Programmer Tarlochan Singh.
