Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa strongly condemns the arrest of Bikram Majithia
Babushahi Bureau
Chandigarh, June 25, 2025: Punjab BJP vice-president and former MLA Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa has strongly condemned the arrest of former minister and senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia by the Vigilance Bureau.
In a statement issued here, he said that the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government of Punjab wants to suppress the voice of opposition leaders by sidelining all democratic values.
Demanding the unconditional release of Bikram Majithia, the senior BJP leader said that Bhagwant Mann has done all such tactics through the Punjab Police and the Vigilance Bureau under pressure from his Delhi masters.
He said that Majithia was earlier also accused in the drug case, in which the Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal himself has publicly apologized to Majithia.
Bajwa appealed to the Chief Minister to refrain from such vindictive actions in democratic life as it increases conflict among political parties, which can also affect the law and order situation of the state. He said that no matter how many political differences there are, power should not be used to suppress opposition leaders.
