Railway adjusts 28 train schedules for Foggy Season 2024-25

Ferozepur, November 20, 2024: In response to the anticipated foggy conditions this winter, the Railway Board has approved adjusting the schedules of 28 trains from December 1, 2024, to February 29, 2025. These adjustments include the cancellation, frequency reduction, and partial cancellation of various mail and express trains.
The measures are being taken to ensure passenger safety and operational efficiency during the unpredictable weather. Specifically, 22 trains will be cancelled, two will be short-terminated, and four others will face partial cancellations throughout this period.
The trains to be cancelled include the Kanpur-Central Kathgodham Garib Rath Express (12209, 12210 up and down), Chandigarh-Amritsar SF Express (12241 and 12242 up and down), Malda Town- New Delhi Express (14003 and 14004 up and down), Kalka- Shri Vaishno Devi Katra Express (14503 and 14504 up and down), Behrich Intercity Express (14213 and 14214 up and down), Amritsar-Nangal Dam Express (14505 and 14506 up and down), Barouni Junction-Ambala Harihar Express (14523 and 14524 up and down), Yog Nagari Rishikesh Jammu Tawi Express (14605 and 14506 up and down), Amritsar Weekly Express Lalkuan to Amritsar (14615 and 14616 up and down), Sehrasa-Amritsar Jan Sewa Express (14617 and 14618 up and down) and the Ferozepur-Chandigarh Satluj Express (14629 and 14630 up and down).
The trains that will be short-terminated include the Anandvihar Terminal Garib Rath Express (22405 and 22406 up and down). The Gawaliar-New Delhi Taj Express (12279 and 12280 up and down), and New Delhi-Jaland- har Junction Express (14681 and 14682 up and down) will be partially cancelled.
However, travellers are advised to check the updated schedules and plan their journeys accordingly.
