Railway holds Hindi poetry to commemorate Dinkar Jayanti
Ferozepur, September 23, 2025: As part of the ongoing Rajbhasha Fortnight 2025 celebrations (September 14–30), a Hindi poetry recitation competition was organized today at the Divisional Office, Ferozepur, to commemorate the birth anniversary of eminent Hindi poet Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.
Sixteen railway employees from various stations of the division enthusiastically participated, presenting their self-composed poems. The entries were judged on theme, presentation, and style by a panel comprising Om Prakash, Rajesh God, Assistant Commercial Manager, and Assistant Divisional Finance Manager. The event was conducted by Anjali Sharma, Senior Translator.
The program commenced with a floral tribute to Dinkar by Mastaram Meena, Assistant Divisional Material Manager and Rajbhasha Officer, along with the Assistant Commercial and Finance Managers.
At the conclusion, the judges announced the winners First Prize: Krishna Keshav Amar, Senior Clerk, Diesel Shed, Ludhiana, Second Prize: Ashok Kumar, Technician-II & Crane Driver, Diesel Shed, Ludhiana, Third Prize: Mrs. Tanman Sharma, Chief Parcel Supervisor, Ferozepur Station.
All winners were congratulated for their outstanding poetic performances.
