Railway reunites 65 children with Families under Operation Nanhe Farishte
Ferozepur, August 14, 2026: Under the Indian Railways’ “Operation Nanhe Farishte,” the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Ferozepur Division reunited 65 children with their families from January to July 2026.
The initiative focuses on protecting and assisting children found alone, lost or separated from their families at railway stations. As part of the operation, the RPF and station staff remain vigilant and promptly identify such children, provide necessary assistance and make efforts to safely reunite them with their parents or guardians.
Ferozepur Rail Division has appealed to passengers to immediately inform the RPF or station staff if they find any child alone, lost or separated from family members at a railway station.
Passengers can also contact the Indian Railways helpline at 139 for assistance. The railway authorities said that even a small piece of timely information can play an important role in ensuring the safety of a child and helping reunite them with their family.
