Railways launches Digital Locker facility at station for passengers’ convenience
Ferozepur, March 20, 2026: In a step aimed at providing passengers with safe, better and modern amenities, the Ferozepur Division has started a digital locker facility at the Ludhiana railway station.
With this new facility, passengers can safely store their bags and other belongings in digital lockers, so they don't have to carry luggage at all times. The service will be especially useful for passengers waiting for their trains or those needing to step out of the station for some time.
Under the digital locker system, passengers can book a locker for a fixed duration based on their requirements, and charges are levied based on the period of use.
To use the facility, a passenger will have to enter their mobile number on the locker panel and receive an OTP. After that, they can select a locker, scan the QR code and make the payment online.
The introduction of this facility is expected to provide passengers with the benefit of modern station amenities while also ensuring the safety and security of their luggage.
