Special DGP (Traffic) recognises Mayank Foundation’s impact; SSP presents appreciation certificates to volunteers
Ferozepur, February 25, 202: The Punjab Police has honoured the Mayank Foundation for its commitment to road safety and public awareness.
During a ceremony held today, Bhupinder Singh Sidhu, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ferozepur, presented Appreciation Certificates to the foundation’s core team. The honours were formally issued by A. S. Rai, Special DGP (Traffic), Punjab, marking a high-level acknowledgement of the organisation’s impact on regional traffic safety.

The Mayank Foundation has long been a pillar of advocacy in Ferozepur, bridging the gap between law enforcement and the public. Their consistent efforts include: Educational Drives: Workshops in schools and colleges to instil responsible driving habits in the youth. Awareness Campaigns: Large-scale public initiatives highlighting the dangers of speeding and the importance of helmets and seatbelts, and Collaborative Action: Working directly with local authorities to identify and rectify accident-prone zones.

Accepting the honour, Deepak Sharma, Founder of Mayank Foundation, emphasised that the award catalyses honour future endeavours."This honour belongs to every volunteer and citizen who believes that road safety is a shared responsibility," Sharma stated. "Road safety is not an option; it’s a duty. Saving even one life means saving an entire family. This recognition from the Punjab Police encourages us to further intensify our life-saving efforts across the region."
The ceremony concluded with a pledge from the Foundation to continue fostering a culture where every life on the road is valued and protected.
