NIA Files Chargesheet against 10 Khalistani Terrorists in Sikhs for Justice Case Today (18.12.2020)
New Delhi, December 18, 2020:
NIA has filed chargesheet against 10 accused persons including designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun before the NIA Special Court, Mohali, Punjab in RC-19/2020/NIA/DLI (SFJ case) u/s 120B & 124A of IPC and 13, 16, 17, 18 & 20 of UA(P) Act, 1967.
According to an official release of NIA, the case relates to series of acts of violence including acts of arson in Punjab during the year 2017-18, carrying out of propaganda activities both online and on ground campaigns in support of SFJ and Referendum- 2020. These acts were committed by a gang of radicalised Sikh youth under direction and financial assistance from SFJ handlers located abroad as part of an organized conspiracy by the accused for launching a concerted secessionist campaign for creation of ‘Khalistan’.
The chargesheeted accused are 1) Gurpatwant Singh Pannun r/o New York USA, 2) Pargat Singh3) Sukhraj Singh @ Raju, 4) Bikramjit Singh @ Vicky, 5) Manjeet Singh @ Manjit Singh @ Manga, 6) Jatinder Singh @ Goldi, 7)Gurwinder Singh @ Gurpreet Singh @ Gopi, 8)Harpreet Singh @ Happy, 9) Kuldeep Singh @ Kuldip Singh @ Keepaand10) Harmeet Singh @ Raju (Sl. No. 02-09, all r/o Punjab; Sl. No. 10 r/o Delhi).
This case was initially registered by Punjab police at Sultanwind Police Station, Amritsar (City) vide FIR No. 152 dated 19.10.2018. The case was subsequently re-registered by NIA as RC-19/2020/NIA/DLI dated 05.04.2020.
Investigation in the case has revealed that SFJ, a secessionist outfit, has launched an incessant campaign using numerous social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, YouTube Channels and a number of websites to propagate sedition and disturb peace and harmony in India. These social media accounts are being used to radicalise impressionable youth & breed enmity on the grounds of region and religion.
Investigation has also clearly established that Gurpatwant Singh Pannun (leader of SFJ), radicalised and recruited the other accused persons into SFJ an organization declared as ‘Unlawful Association’ under UA(P) Act. The accused persons had received funding from their handlers located abroad through various MTSS platforms to further the conspiracy.
