During the elections, 15 companies of Central Armed Police Forces have been deployed in the state

Chandigarh, April 21, 2024 – Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agarwal, who is also the Chairman of the State Committee formed on the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces during elections, said that conducting impartial and transparent elections is the priority of the Election Commission.
Accordingly, to ensure fear-free and peaceful voting in the state, besides Haryana Police, companies of Central Armed Police Forces are also being deployed with readiness. So far, 15 companies of Central Armed Police Forces have arrived.
Agarwal was holding a review meeting with department officers regarding election management.
Information was also provided in the meeting that two companies each of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be deployed for Ambala, Hisar, Sirsa, and Rohtak Lok Sabha constituencies.
Similarly, for the Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency, two companies of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) will be deployed, and one company each of ITBP will be deployed for Kurukshetra, Karnal, Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, Gurgaon, and Faridabad Lok Sabha constituencies.
It was also apprised during the meeting that the companies of Central Armed Police Forces will be stationed at the district headquarters.
