Chandigarh, January 24, 2022: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal has said that when the Aam Aadmi Party government is formed in Punjab in 2022, the annual financial budget of the state will also be prepared with the suggestions of the people of Punjab because the people have the best solutions for the problems they are facing.
Kejriwal told that in Delhi, his government prepares a budget by considering public opinion.
In a statement issued by the party on Monday, Arvind Kejriwal said that the AAP government of Delhi has started deliberations for the budget for the next financial year 2022-23. Suggestions are being sought from the common people and businessmen of Delhi to prepare the budget.
"In Punjab too, the budget will be prepared similarly when the AAP government is formed. Before preparing the budget of Punjab, opinions of all sections, including common people, especially traders-businessmen, farmers-laborers, women, youth and employees, will be regarded," said he said.
Kejriwal said that the government of the Aam Aadmi Party will include the suggestions received during the meeting with the people of Punjab, traders, and businessmen in the budget to solve their problems.
"Neglected and deprived sections of the state will be able to directly convey their issues and suggestions to the government and the government will include their opinions in the budget and government schemes," he added.
On Sunday, while addressing the people and businessmen of Delhi, Kejriwal had said, "We have started the process of preparing the budget for the financial year 2022-23. We want to know your views and suggestions about what kind of plan the government should introduce. What improvements should be made in the running schemes? Your valuable suggestions will be included in the next budget."
Kejriwal said that 'this budget of Delhi government is Swaraj budget'. Under this, the public and businessmen of Delhi will be made participants in the preparation of the state budget and their opinion and suggestions will be included in the next year's annual budget. In Delhi, the Kejriwal government is running an awareness campaign for the people of the state, in which suggestions are being sought from the people of the state, traders, and businessmen to prepare the budget for Delhi.
