Harcharan Bains made senior vice president of Shiromani Akali Dal

Chandigarh, February 14, 2022: Harcharan Singh Bains, Principal Advisor to the Shiromani Akali Dal President Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal and a long-time confidant of the former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, has been made the Senior Vice President of the party.
Announcing this, the party president Sukhbir Singh Singh Badal said that Bains has since long been the “face of party’s commitment to values of integrity in public life and respect for Panthic and Punjabi culture. A man of extraordinary intellectual brilliance, Bains has risen from rural schools to be a global figure with his writings in national and international media.
He is a man of unimpeachable integrity who commands ALL ROUND respect, especially among intellectual circles and NRIs as also among those who want to help Punjab and Panth to be always ahead of the modern and future challenges,” said Mr Badal in his statement.
Bains has expressed “ infinite gratitude” for this “undeserved honor” bestowed on him by the party president and said that he will work day and night to preserve and promoting the traditional Akali values as also implementing the futuristic vision of the party president, Sukhbir Singh Badal. “I will do all I can to prove equal to the “ extraordinary act of expression of trust reposed in me by both the party president and the former Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal .”
