  Punjab to provide paddy straw to Kerala for cattle feed

  New Delhi, November 13, 2022: Now Punjab will provide paddy straw to Kerala for use as fodder for livestock through Centre’s Kisan Rail scheme.
  
  Every year 20 million tonnes of straw is produced in Punjab.Kerala ranks second in milk productivity in the country after Punjab.
  
  Lack of cultivable land in the coastal state of Kerala fails to produce the required fodder for cattle. It is estimated that Lakhs of Kerala farmers will be benefited from Punjab's stubble.
