CGC Jhanjeri Campus stars cleaning campaign on International Plastic Bag Free Day
Cleaned the area near Gurdwara Nada Sahib with the support of Lions Club and other organizations

Mohali, July 03, 2024: The students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri campus, started a campaign on International Plastic Bag Free Day and organized a cleaning campaign at various places.
In this series, about fifty students of the Jhanjeri campus cleaned in the vicinity of Gurdwara Nada Sahib with the support of the Naya Savera Foundation, Irada Hamara, and Lions Club for community spirit and environmental protection.
All the volunteers, armed with gloves and biodegradable bags, worked meticulously to clean various types of garbage, including plastic, near the Gurdwara Sahib.
Meanwhile, all the volunteers highlighted the urgent need to reduce the use of plastic and adopt sustainable practices through this effort. The volunteers said that the aim of this campaign is not only to clean the area but also to reduce the harmful effects of plastic on our environment and health. It is also about raising awareness of the impacts. Their enthusiastic collective efforts reflect a shared commitment to fostering a cleaner, greener neighborhood.
At the same time, this effort shows that every effort is important no matter how small, and contributes to a larger impact.
CGC Jhanjeri Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal emphasized the importance of this initiative and said that today the country needs the support of the youth. Today's campaign is proof that we can change a lot through unity by coming together.
Every initiative takes us to the next destination. Along with this, Arsh Dhaliwal said that this effort will not end here but Naya Savera Foundation, Irada Hamara, Lions Club and Jhanjeri Campus are committed to organizing other such drives and environmental initiatives through mutual cooperation.
These future efforts will continue to focus on increasing the reach and effectiveness of cleaning campaigns.
CGC President Rachpal Singh Dhaliwal while appreciating this initiative said that as the world faces increasing environmental challenges, societies must come together to bring about change and promote sustainability.
