Ferozepur, August 28, 2024: The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission aims to provide the best healthcare facilities and digitize all patient data online. Sharing this information, Dr Rajvinder Kaur, Civil Surgeon of Ferozepur, stated that, along with expert doctors and modern equipment, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Account (ABHA) initiative is another step toward online treatment. With an ABHA ID, patients won't need to carry any documents like medical reports or X-rays from one hospital to another; all data will be automatically accessible to doctors, making the treatment process hassle-free.
Explaining further, Dr. Rajvinder Kaur highlighted that during emergencies or sudden health issues, patients or their families often rush to the hospital without necessary documents, which can delay treatment. The ABHA ID aims to eliminate such delays by storing all medical records online. She urged everyone to create an ABHA ID to avail the best healthcare services and to avoid carrying heavy documents during treatment. The ID can be created for free at any health centre.
At Ferozepur Civil Hospital, staff members are helping patients create their ABHA IDs, and in villages, ASHA workers are assisting with the process. Individuals can also create their IDs online by scanning a barcode or through the ABHA app, which is available for download on the Play Store. Aadhar Card and a few other documents are required for this purpose.
Dr. Rajvinder Kaur clarified that the ABHA ID is only for maintaining medical records online. If someone does not have an ABHA ID, they will still receive treatment. Additionally, scanning the QR code at any hospital will allow patients to register without waiting in line, enabling faster treatment.
She also mentioned that through the ABHA ID, both government and private hospitals can access the records, helping patients find specialists for specific ailments.
