Dr. Navdeep Singh, NEET topper from Muktsar Sahib, commits suicide

Chandigarh, September 16, 2024: Dr. Navdeep Singh, the 2017 NEET UG Rank 1 holder from Muktsar Sahib, who was currently pursuing his PG in Radiology from the Department of (Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), committed suicide by hanging in his Delhi Hostel room.
As per the Times of India report, Navdeep's father grew concerned when his son didn't respond to phone calls. He sent a friend to check on Navdeep, who found the door locked from the inside. Upon breaking open the door, the friend discovered Navdeep's lifeless body.No suicide note has reportedly been found.
The deceased's body has been handed over to the family after postmortem by Sunday evening. The cremation will take place on Monday afternoon in Muktsar.
