Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria pays tribute at Hussainiwala Martyrs Memorial
Attends BSF Inter-District Final Match as Chief Guest

Ferozepur, November 5, 2024: Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, during his visit to Ferozepur, paid homage to India's revered freedom fighters by offering floral tributes at the Hussainiwala Martyrs Memorial. He honoured the memory of revolutionary Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, and fellow patriot B.K. Dutt, who made the ultimate sacrifice for India's independence.
In his address, Governor Kataria emphasized the significance of these martyrs' sacrifices, noting that it is through the dedication of such patriots that India enjoys freedom today. He urged citizens to follow the path set by these freedom fighters and contribute to building a nation that fulfills their dreams.
Following the tribute ceremony, Governor Kataria held a special meeting with BSF, Army, civil, and police officials. The discussions covered key issues related to border security, drug and arms smuggling, and other regional concerns.
Later, Governor Kataria attended the BSF Inter-District Kabaddi Final as the chief guest, where he honoured the winning and runner-up teams with awards.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Deepshikha Sharma, DIG Ranjit Singh Dhillon, SSP Ferozepur Saumya Mishra, ADC (General) Nidhi Kumud Bamba, ADC (Development) Lakhwinder Singh Randhawa, SDM Randeep Singh, and other senior officials from BSF, Army, civil, and police administration.
