Haryana Govt committed to improving animal health services: Minister Shyam Singh Rana
Inaugurates Pets Ophthalmology Centre

Chandigarh, November 17, 2024 – Haryana Animal Husbandry, Dairying, and Fisheries Minister, Shyam Singh Rana, said that the state government is working with dedication to rapidly improve health services related to animal husbandry.Additionally, services will be expanded in pet hospitals to ensure better care for pet dogs.
The Animal Husbandry Minister was speaking at the inauguration of a dog show in Panchkula today.
Rana said that the state government will also formulate a comprehensive plan for stray dogs to ensure proper management and welfare. He assured that there will be no shortage of funds for the welfare and health improvement of animals, and the department will receive funding based on its needs.
Before the dog show, the Minister inaugurated the Pets Ophthalmology Centre at the Pet Hospital. The new facility will offer specialized services for treating various eye problems in pets. He also visited the X-ray centre and the dog hostel at the facility.
The dog show, held at the "Pet Animal Medical Centre" in Sector 3, Panchkula, was attended by special guests, including Dr. Lal Chand Ranga, Director General of the department, and Dr. R.N. Chaudhary, Head of Surgery at LUVAS Hisar.
Dr. Ranjit Singh, Deputy Director of the department and in charge of the Dog Centre, mentioned that this is the 6th dog show organized this year.
