Ferozepur Police take decisive action, destroy 63 Kg heroin, other narcotics
Ferozepur, January 25, 2025: The Ferozepur police, under the tutelage of Ranjit Singh Dhillon, IGP, Ferozepur Range in the presence of SSP Soumya Mishra along with Radhir Kumar, SP(I) and Fateh Singh, DSP(I), as per the orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, disposed of 63 kg of heroin and other seized narcotics as part of their ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region. The disposal was carried out following court orders and in compliance with all legal protocols.
A special drug disposal team, in collaboration with the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police (Investigation) destroyed narcotics at a designated location of M/s Sukhbir Agro Engineering Limited (SAEL), Hakumat Singh Wala. This process was monitored to ensure transparency and adherence to the Standard Authorization for Evidence (SAE) guidelines.
As per official records, in one case 6 kg 475 gm of heroin and 62 cases involving 13540 tablets, 58 gm of intoxicant powder, 543 kg of poppy husk, and an additional 11 kg 120 gm 10 mg of heroin were also disposed of at the designated place.
