BSF foils smuggling attempt, recovers pistol, narcotics on Ferozepur Border
Ferozepur, February 10, 2025: The Border Security Force (BSF) thwarted a smuggling attempt along the Indo-Pak border in Ferozepur district, recovering a pistol, magazines, and narcotics during a search operation.
Acting on intelligence inputs, BSF troops launched a search in the border area near Kamlewala village on Saturday evening. At approximately 7:00 PM, they discovered a Glock pistol (Made in Austria), two pistol magazines, and 35 grams of suspected narcotics concealed in a farming field. The recovered items were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, with a steel ring and an illumination stick attached to the pistol, suggesting they were airdropped or meant for easy retrieval.
The swift action by BSF, based on credible intelligence, successfully prevented yet another cross-border smuggling attempt involving arms and narcotics. Security forces have intensified surveillance in the region to curb such illegal activities.
