International conference on Global Trends in Management Paradigms organised by CGC Landran

Chandigarh, February 24, 2025: The Chandigarh Business School of Administration (CBSA), CGC Landran, organised a two-day International Conference on ‘Shaping the Future- Global Trends in Management Paradigms 2025 (ICSFMP 2025),’ in campus. It was attended by more than 300 students, research scholars, academicians and industry professionals.
A major highlight of day one of the event was the release of the conference book along with selected research paper submissions that showcased academic excellence, innovation and creativity in emerging management paradigms. 86 papers were selected from more than a 100, submitted.
Day one of the international conference commenced with insightful key note addresses by industry leaders and academic stalwarts including Mr. Steve McKenna, Associate Professor, Curtin Business School, Australia, Dr. Karminder Ghuman, Associate Dean of Industry Connect & Entrepreneurship, LM Thapar School of Management; Prof. (Dr.) Pushpender Kuma, Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi; Ms. Deepti Rishi, Leadership Coach; and Mr. Gautam Sharma, Founder, Surya Enviro & Chemicals. Dr. P.N. Hrisheekesha, Campus Director, CGC Landran and Dr. Ramandeep Saini, Director-Principal, CBSA, warmly welcomed the attendees setting the stage for an engaging intellectual discussion and idea exchange.
As the keynote speaker on day one of the conference, Mr. Steve McKenna delivered remarks on ‘Textbooks and Management Paradigms’ weaving an engaging narrative on the meaning and universality of management paradigms and theories, their application and relevance in markets across different continents.
He underlined how the process of managing is key than the paradigms that underpin management, emphasizing how management is universal but the managing styles are different.
The Guest of Honour and second distinguished speaker of the day, Dr. Karminder Ghuman, spoke on ‘Paradigms and Paradigm shift,’ giving the audience a comprehensive understanding of paradigms as both, a scholarly and a management concept.
The second day of the conference witnessed paper presentations by students and researchers from leading institutions such as Panjab University, GNDU, ICFAI, IBA Bengaluru, IKGPTU, sparked engaging discussions and reinforced industry-academia collaboration.
The event concluded with a valedictory session and a felicitation ceremony recognizing the Best Paper Award winners for their outstanding contributions. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Charu Mehan, HOD, MBA, CBSA-CGC Landran.
