  Anil Vij’s birthday bouquets to bloom again: Flowers to be recycled into compost, incense sticks

  Chandigarh, March 16, 2025 – In a unique and eco-friendly initiative, thousands of flower bouquets gifted to Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij on his birthday will be repurposed into compost and incense sticks, ensuring that the heartfelt gestures continue to spread positivity even after the celebrations.
  
  Minister Anil Vij, who celebrated his birthday on March 15, expressed his appreciation for the love and goodwill he received. "People gifted me an enormous number of bouquets with love and affection. Instead of letting these flowers go to waste, we are ensuring they are used meaningfully," said Vij.
  
  "Every year, these flowers are handed over for composting and making incense sticks. This time, with a new composting machine installed at the Cantonment Board, the compost will be used to nurture plants, making flowers bloom and spreading even more smiles among people."
  
  Turning Flowers into Sustainability
  
  Early this morning, employees from the Cantonment Board collected the flower bouquets, filling an entire trolley, which was then transported to the composting facility in Ambala’s Topkhana.
  
  The flowers will undergo a composting process to produce organic manure, while some will be used for making incense sticks, extending their purpose beyond the birthday celebrations.
  
  A Birthday Full of Smiles and Gratitude
  
  Minister Vij expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all well-wishers, saying, "Every message of birthday wishes brought a smile to my face and made my day even more special. It was touching to see so many people take the time to send their best wishes. Celebrating another year of life is a reminder of the wonderful relationships I have, and I am deeply grateful for all the love and support."
