Chandigarh, March 23, 2025: Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij strongly criticized the vandalism of Himachal Pradesh buses in Amritsar, calling it an attack on the country’s federal structure and national unity.
"This is not right. Some people are trying to disrupt peace and divide the nation. Every inch of this country belongs to all Indians, and no one should think in terms of state boundaries," Vij stated while addressing the media.
Responding to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks on ‘Make in India,’ Vij accused the party of misleading the nation for decades.
"Promotion should follow actual work. Congress was known for advertising empty promises, but Prime Minister Modi has delivered real progress. If showcasing achievements bothers Kharge, so be it," he remarked.
Commenting on SP MP Ramji Lal Suman’s controversial remarks comparing Muslims to Babur’s descendants, Vij slammed the opposition for "glorifying invaders instead of national heroes."
"Why don’t they see Maharana Pratap or Shivaji as role models? Our land is full of true heroes," he asserted.
Highlighting the need to draw inspiration from India’s spiritual heritage, Vij stated:
"Ram is our ideal, Krishna is our ideal. Our sages imparted wisdom to humanity. Yet, we keep looking outside for inspiration instead of valuing our own greats."
“Congress Bankrupted Himachal” – Vij
On the ongoing financial crisis in Himachal Pradesh, Vij blamed Congress for the state’s empty treasury.
"Salaries were never delayed before. But the moment Congress came to power, the treasury dried up. They are known for draining public funds, and now the people of Himachal are suffering," he said.
Vij’s statements reflect his firm stance on national unity, governance, and accountability, while sharply criticizing Congress’s handling of state affairs.
