CM’s Yogshala project a boon for people: 93 Yoga classes running in Ferozepur
Over 3,000 residents benefit daily, says Deputy Commissioner
Ferozepur, April 3, 2025: To promote a healthier lifestyle among citizens, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has launched the CM’s Yogshala, and the project has proven to be highly beneficial for the people of Ferozepur.
Deputy Commissioner Deepashikha Sharma informed that 93 yoga classes are being conducted daily across different tehsils, sub-tehsils, blocks, and villages of the district, with over 3,000 individuals participating regularly. She urged more people to take advantage of these free yoga sessions held in public parks, local grounds, and community spaces.
She also encouraged every citizen to dedicate at least one hour daily to yoga for improved physical and mental well-being.
Yoga Coordinator Amanpreet Kaur highlighted that the class schedules have been set as per public convenience. Participants include children, youth, women, and senior citizens, all enthusiastically embracing a healthier lifestyle.
Residents interested in starting a yoga class in their neighborhood can give a missed call on 76694-00500. A minimum of 25 participants and a common space like a park or community hall are required.
The initiative is receiving widespread appreciation, with people praising the Punjab government’s efforts in promoting health and wellness.
