Know the AAP Candidate: MP Sanjeev Arora Steps into Ludhiana West Bypoll
Ludhiana, April 6, 2025:
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) candidate for the upcoming Ludhiana (West) by-election, is carving a distinct space for himself in politics—not with traditional rhetoric, but with grounded engagement and development-driven work.
Arora, who entered the Rajya Sabha nearly three years ago, never saw himself contesting elections or seeking votes. But following the untimely demise of sitting MLA Gurpreet Singh Gogi, the party chose Arora to contest the bypoll—a responsibility he accepted willingly.

He believes that when entrusted with a duty, it must be carried out with sincerity. During his term in the Upper House, Arora focused on health and education, allocating most of his MPLAD funds toward these sectors. His work has helped him emerge as a development-focused leader.
Now transitioning to state-level politics, Arora is connecting directly with the people. His campaign stands out for its interactive nature—he encourages open dialogue, listens to citizens’ concerns, and often resolves issues on the spot. Unlike conventional rallies, his meetings are open forums where people feel heard.

His warm and personal outreach—shaking hands, engaging in genuine conversation, and walking among the public—has created a strong sense of trust and reliability. “I don’t believe in making big promises,” he says. “I believe in making honest efforts to solve real problems.”

Sanjeev Arora’s people-centric approach and commitment to solutions make him a unique political presence—one that may set a new benchmark for public representatives.
