Chandigarh, April 18, 2025: The Haryana Government has brought eight services of the Fisheries Department under the purview of the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014 , and has fixed the time limit for these services. A notification to this effect has been issued by Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi.
According to this, subsidies for the improvement of Panchayat ponds and private ponds under the Intensive Fisheries Development Program will be made available within 40 days.
Along with the Intensive Fisheries Development Programme, for the welfare of the families belonging to the Scheduled Castes engaged in the fisheries sector, subsidy on stove/gas stoves, utensils, etc. including carts for selling fish or fish products, subsidy on purchase of fishing nets and fertilizers and feed will also be made available within 40 days.
Apart from this, a license for fishing with a fishing rod only for sport will be issued within three days.For all these services, the Fisheries Officer of the concerned district has been named as the designated officer.
For grievance redressal, the concerned Deputy Director of fisheries has been made the first grievance redressal officer while the Director of fisheries has been made the second grievance redressal officer. Made Went Is.
