Special ticket checking drive in 10 trains aims to tackle summer rush
Collects over ₹67 Lakh from more than 10K passengers
Ferozepur, April 25, 2025: In line with the directives of the Headquarters' Special Ticket Checking Campaign, the Firozpur Division has launched a special ticket checking drive to manage the surge in passenger traffic during the summer season. The campaign began on April 22, 2025, and will continue until May 21, 2025.
Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Sanjay Sahu and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Paramdeep Singh Saini, the drive has collected over ₹67 lakh in revenue from more than 10,000 passengers.
Major trains where ticket inspections have been conducted include the Jammu Tawi Express (19223), Gandhinagar Capital Express (19224), Malwa Superfast Express (12920/12919), Amrapali Express (15708), Amritsar Howrah Mail (13006), Bhagat Ki Kothi Express (19226), Begampura Express (12238), Saharsa Garib Rath Express (12204), and Sachkhand Express (12716).
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Paramdeep Singh Saini stated that the primary objective of this drive is to curb ticketless and irregular travel and boost ticket sales at counters. He also appealed to all passengers to ensure they travel with valid tickets
