CHD: New emergency number issued for Chandigarh ICCC call center amid India-Pakistan tension

Chandigarh, May 10, 2025; In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (MCC) has issued a new alternate number 0172-613-5200 for the call center of the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC). The aim is to provide uninterrupted services to citizens in case of emergency.
Existing and new contact numbers:
The ICCC call centre was till now operating on the BSNL line number 0172-278-7200. Now citizens can also contact on the new alternate number in case of any inconvenience.
According to MCC officials, this decision has been taken with the aim of improving the service and further strengthening the emergency access.
Effort for ease of service and quick resolution:
MCC officials explained that adding a new number will help in managing the calls coming to the call center more effectively. This step has been taken to ensure better access for citizens so that there is no hindrance in getting help in case of any kind of emergency.
Appeal for 24x7 services:
ICCC call center operates 24x7, where citizens can register their complaints, suggestions and emergency information. MCC has appealed to the citizens to share this new contact number as much as possible, so that the needy people can avail the services on time.
