New Delhi, May 12, 2025: In a detailed briefing on the Indian Air Force’s role in the recently concluded Operation Sindoor, Air Marshal AK Bharti presented a comprehensive picture of the targets engaged and the strategic outcomes achieved by IAF units across multiple fronts.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Air Marshal Bharti highlighted both offensive precision and defensive prowess demonstrated during the operation.
“The composite picture of targets engaged by the Indian Air Force reflects our focus on high-value objectives and mission success with minimal collateral impact,” he said.
A major emphasis of the briefing was the IAF’s ability to counter Pakistan's escalating use of drone warfare.
“Numerous waves of drones and unmanned combat aerial vehicles employed by Pakistan were also thwarted by the indigenously developed soft and hard kill counter-UAS systems and the well-trained Indian Air Defence personnel,” Bharti stated.
