According to official information, 21,098 cases were listed, out of which 11,597 were successfully resolved. These included civil cases, compoundable criminal matters, cheque bounce cases, recovery suits, traffic challans, domestic disputes, ex-parte reports, missing person reports, motor accident claim tribunal cases, and pre-litigation cases involving bank recoveries, private finance firms, and telecom companies — all settled through mutual consent.
To assist visitors, a help desk was also set up at the public entry gate of the District Court Complex, Ferozepur. Similar help desks were installed at sub-divisions Zira and Guru Har Sahai to facilitate the public.
It is noteworthy that decisions made in Lok Adalats are final, carry the status of a decree, and cannot be appealed. These settlements relieve prolonged litigation and mental stress, allowing both parties to feel victorious without any side being declared a loser.
