6 including 4 students missing from Ferozepur; phones switched off, families in panic
Ferozepur, May 24, 2025: A wave of fear and concern has gripped Ferozepur as six young individuals, including four school students of Plus 2 of local private school, have gone missing since Friday evening. The families of the missing persons filed a formal missing report at City Police Station late Friday night. As of Saturday afternoon, no clue has been found regarding their whereabouts.
According to police sources, the missing individuals include Gurjeet Singh, son of Darshan Singh, resident of Bedi Colony, Gurdit Singh, son of Kashmir Singh, resident of Gobind Enclave near Makhu Gate, Love, resident of village Alike, Vishwadeep Singh, son of Hardeep Singh, resident of village Ichhe Wala, Varinder Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh, an inverter mechanic residing behind RSD College and Krish, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Basti Awa.
All their mobile phones have been switched off, adding to the anxiety of the families. Eyewitnesses reportedly saw some of them riding away on a motorcycle, but no further trace has been found.
Senior police officials stated that an investigation is underway from every possible angle, by tracking the mobile locations and to whom the last calls were made and efforts are being made to trace the youths at the earliest. Authorities have assured the families that all resources are being mobilised to find the missing individuals.
The incident has sparked fear and unrest among the local community, especially the families of the missing youth, who remain hopeful for their safe return.
