Chandigarh, June 7, 2025 – Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini said that the real strength of this country lies in its poor, laborers, and marginalized communities.
These are the very people who, through their hard work, are making the biggest contribution to transforming India into a developed nation. Over the past 11 years, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has given these hardworking sections of society the respect and rights that Congress could never provide.
Congress has always prioritized the interests of its own family and never truly cared about the public, society, or the nation.Despite being in power for decades, Congress ignored the aspirations of the common people and now the public has shown them doors, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister was addressing a delegation of the DSC community from across the state on Saturday at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir. On the occasion, members of the DSC community honored the Chief Minister with a turban and expressed gratitude for implementing categorization within reservations for the DSC community. They also invited the Chief Minister to attend the Sant Kabir Jayanti celebration to be held in Sirsa on June 11.
The Chief Minister, calling the members of the community "warriors," said that the turban placed on his head is not just his honor but the honor of the entire community.
He said that the DSC community is now receiving its rightful share and respect. In the recent announcement of approximately 3,500 government recruitments, 605 posts have been reserved for the DSC community and 604 posts for other Scheduled Castes. This is a strong step toward social justice, he said.
Nayab Singh Saini also acknowledged the long struggle of the DSC community and stated that their efforts are now yielding positive results. Future generations will be empowered and strong, he said.
Congress Failed to Honor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Constitution of India, gifted to the nation by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is the soul of our democracy. It is because of this sacred Constitution that the nation has a robust democratic system with functioning institutions like the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Parliament, and Judiciary. Even the post of the Speaker in Parliament is a result of this Constitution, he said.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that, unfortunately, Congress failed to honor Dr. Ambedkar during his lifetime as he deserved. Today, when Congress leaders speak against the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Parliament, and Judiciary, they are not just insulting these constitutional institutions but also disrespecting Dr. Ambedkar and the Constitution he framed, he said.
The Chief Minister said that during the elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was often seen holding a copy of the Constitution in hand. Someone should tell him that the Constitution is not a prop for political drama, it is the pillar of our democracy and worthy of reverence. Waving it to scare or mislead people is inappropriate, said Shri Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, India has emerged on the global stage
The Chief Minister further said that Congress misled the public during elections by claiming that the Constitution would be abolished if Sh. Narendra Modi became Prime Minister again. The truth is, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the Constitution has been strengthened further. Today, no one dares to question or undermine it. In reality, what is disappearing is the Congress Party itself, that too due to its failed policies, he said.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini further said that the very poor whose name they used for political gains were made even poorer. Under Congress, the gap between rich and poor widened. But in the last 11 years, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has worked to bridge that gap. He has consistently worked to bring dignity and opportunity to the lives of the poor. This is the true protection of the Constitution, he said.
The Chief Minister said that under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, India has emerged on the global stage as a self-reliant and empowered nation. Today, India is changing rapidly, and the 140 crore citizens of the country are witnessing and experiencing this transformation. This is the rising, developing India under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
