Panchkula Consumer Forum to hear cases worth Rs 1-3 lakh on these dates

Panchkula (Haryana), June 13, 2025 - Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam is committed to providing reliable, good voltage and uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.
To achieve the goal of ' complete consumer satisfaction ' , many ambitious programs have been started by the power corporation so that the problems of the consumers can be solved quickly.
Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the Electricity Corporation said that the Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum will hear complaints related to financial disputes of amounts exceeding one lakh rupees and up to 3 lakh rupees in each case as per Regulation 2.8.2 .
The complaints of consumers of districts namely Kurukshetra, Ambala, Panchkula, Kaithal, and Yamunanagar falling under the Panchkula Zone will be resolved on June 16 and 23 at the Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Panchkula.
He informed that the cases of consumers of districts falling under the Panchkula zone related to wrong bills, electricity tariff, meter security , faulty meters, voltage related cases will be settled.
For settlement of any dispute between the consumer and the corporation, before submitting a complaint related to financial disputes in the forum, the consumer will have to deposit the claimed amount for each month calculated based on average electricity charges paid by the consumer during the last six months or the amount equal to the electricity charges payable by him , whichever is less.
During this, the consumer will have to certify that this case is not pending before any court, authority or forum because the cases pending in this court or forum will not be considered during the meeting.
