Chandigarh, June 28, 2025 –In a major breakthrough in the ongoing investigation into the drug money case, former Deputy Director of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Niranjan Singh, recorded a detailed statement before the Punjab Vigilance Bureau on Saturday. Sources say his revelations have further implicated senior political leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
Niranjan Singh was inside the Vigilance office for nearly two hours, during which he is said to have shared critical information.
According to sources, Singh’s statement included the following key points:
1. Drug Trade with Foreign Links: Jagjit Singh Chahal and Bittu Aulakh were involved in drug trafficking operations with clientele based in Canada.
2. Political Nexus: One of the clients, Parminder Singh Pindi, was a close aide of Satpreet Singh Satta. Satta, in turn, had close ties with Bikram Singh Majithia. The two reportedly enjoyed mutual hospitality and shared access to security arrangements provided by Majithia.
3. Dispute and Political Intervention: A dispute arose between Chahal, Aulakh, Pindi, and Satta over the quality of supplied drugs. This conflict was resolved by Majithia. Following this intervention, Chahal allegedly paid crores of rupees in the presence of Majithia’s personal assistant as a gesture of gratitude.
4. Benami Properties: It was also alleged that Bikram Singh Majithia’s wife purchased properties under a different identity.
Vigilance officials are now scrutinizing the fresh inputs provided by Niranjan Singh, which could significantly impact the direction and scope of the investigation. The probe appears to be closing in on key political figures involved in the drug network.
