Breaking: Majithia's remand extended by 4 days

Mohali (Punjab), July 2, 2025 – Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia was produced before a Mohali court today by the Vigilance Bureau after completing a seven-day remand. The court has extended his remand by another four days. He will now be produced again in the court on July 6 (on Sunday).
Public prosecutors informed the media that during the investigation, sale deeds in Majithia’s name have been discovered in Mashobra near Shimla.
It was also submitted in court that Majithia owns properties in Gorakhpur, and the Vigilance Bureau intends to take him along for further investigation in connection with those assets.
They also said that Majithia did not co-operate with the vigilance teams in Shimla and Majitha.
Earlier in the day, several SAD leaders, including party president Sukhbir Singh Badal, were detained by the Punjab Police while protesting in Mohali and other locations.The protest was held against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over Majithia’s arrest.Notably, Majithia was arrested on June 25.
