Youth farmer in Pak custody; Admin assures family members swift repatriation
Ferozepur, July 5, 2025: A team of administrative officials visited the family of Amritpal Singh, a youth from village Khaire Ke Utaar, who inadvertently crossed the India-Pakistan international border, following the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, and Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma.
Giving details, Guru Har Sahai SDM Udeydeep Singh Sidhu informed that Amritpal Singh had gone to his farmland near the barbed wire fence at the border on June 21, as part of his daily routine for agricultural work.
