  Chandigarh, July 14, 2025: The Punjab government has promoted eight IPS officers to the rank of Director General of Police (Level-16 in the Pay Matrix) with immediate effect.
  
  The officers promoted to the top police rank include: Dr. Naresh Kumar, Sudhanshu Shekhar Srivastava, Ram Singh, Praveen Kumar Sinha, Chandra Sekhar, Amardeep Singh Rai, Neeraja Voruvuru, and Anita Punj.
